Business Development
We have developed approximately 60 proposals for federal
contractors and other companies. The examples below were selected
to demonstrate the range of business development efforts we
have supported.
- Multiple proposals for various companies, including GSA
and other IDIQ schedules. RFPs were for litigation support,
records management, hotlines and document fulfillment, COTS
integration and implementation, systems migration, facilities
management and training. Wrote executive summaries, technical
approaches, management plans, QA/QC plans, resumes, project
summaries, transition plans and corporate capability statements.
Also served as oral coach for oral proposal teams. Developed
presentation scripts and materials, videotaped rehearsals
and provided feedback, and ensured compliance with orals
requirements and restrictions.
- Developed a long-range marketing plan for a bottled spring
water business venture for a consortium of Native American
tribes. Developed a training presentation on the federal
procurement process, as well as the 8(a), SDB, HUBZone,
small business, and Indian-owned procurement programs. Developed
a one-year federal procurement strategic plan; it identifies
subsistence purchasing and contract officers, agency purchasing
procedures and rules, history of bottled water purchases,
trade fairs and other contractor opportunities, marketing
programs, and a schedule for marketing. It includes a business
process map and organizational chart on subsistence purchases
processes of six agencies within DoD. Also worked with the
project team and its lobbyists to explore possible legislative
avenues that would facilitate expansion into the federal
market.
- Developed and delivered a customized training plan for
a midwestern tribe which wishes to expand its sales of tribal
products. The training topics include the federal procurement
process and proposal development. The three-day seminar
was delivered to 22 tribal personnel who represented all
tribal entities: council, health clinic, training department,
grants administration, communications, college, economic
development, and manufacturing. Customized course materials
included an instructor guide, student guides, workbooks,
resource and information references, and practice exercises
and case studies. Also facilitated the development of a
strategic plan that includes project goals, task assignments,
a schedule, and a project communications network.
- Supported a successful 12-month DOJ proposal effort. RFP
called for a massive systems upgrade and integration. Principle
task was the development of a required 40-hour solutions
demonstration (oral proposal). Developed scripts and managed
slide production; rehearsed 30 engineers and others who
were presentation speakers. Coordinated technical arrangements
for the presentation.
